What makes this role special?

This is an incredible role for a charity finance specialist who wants to work for a supportive manager and make a difference to children who have experienced trauma.

You’ll be part of a small senior leadership team and lead your team of 4 who are responsible for finance and human resources for this charity of 35.

Your team has meticulously crafted the systems to navigate the organisation’s journey. Now, they need a hands-on leader. You’ll engage daily with your team, while also collaborating closely with the CEO and fellow SLT members to shape the organisational strategy for the coming years.

The charity make a huge difference to the children they support via evidence-based one-to-one mentoring delivered early, before things get worse. The charity’s family support, group work and schools training all help this have even greater impact, meaning happier kids safe in their communities.

So many children have been helped already, but there are so many more in need. You will be part of creating a new strategy to help the organisation reach ever more children whose lives can be transformed.

  • Working in a charity finance function that includes both voluntary and contract income
  • Working with Trustees and senior leaders delivering strategic objectives, good governance and financial priorities
  • Good knowledge of HR compliance and practices
