Job Title: Trusts and Grants Fundraiser
Salary Range: £25K pro rata (0.6FTE)
Reporting to: Trust Fundraising Manager

I am delighted to be working with well established and much loved national charity Winston’s Wish.  The charity has bases in the North West, South East and South West providing support to children who have been bereaved.

There is an opening in the Fundraising department for an experienced part-time (0.6 FTE) Trusts and Grants Fundraiser to join the team.  This one year maternity cover role and will give the successful candidate the opportunity to be part of growing the charity’s income at an exciting time in their development – as they are celebrating their 25th year of helping grieving children and their families.  The children’s bereavement sector is receiving increasing amounts of national attention and there is much to be done in meeting the needs of bereaved children locally and nationally.  Winston’s Wish have an ambitious five year plan to help more children and their Trusts and Grants income is vital to achieving their goals.  There is flexibility in where this role will be based – part from the Cheltenham office and part home working is possible.

Person specification to include:

Educated to degree level or equivalent

A minimum of 1 year experience writing detailed reports or funding applications in the voluntary or public sector

Strong communication skills both written and verbal with an ability to produce concise and persuasive prose

Proven experience of bid writing and reporting, including undertaking high quality research to efficiently identify grant and contract funding opportunities

Knowledge and commitment to evaluative monitoring of programmes
