Retina UK occupies a unique position in the fight against inherited sight loss. The charity specialises in funding cutting edge research into inherited retinal conditions and offer dedicated support and information to the thousands of people living with these conditions.
Inherited sight loss is caused by a range of genetic conditions and affects tens of thousands of people in the UK alone. Diagnosis can be made at any age, often in children and young people. It is the most common cause of sight loss in people of working age.
To date Retina UK have invested more than £16.5 million into ground breaking research whilst supporting some of the best scientists and clinicians in the fields of ophthalmology and genetics. A huge amount of time, effort and resource has been invested into the organisation in recent years and they are poised for significant and strategic growth. This is certainly an exciting time for the charity, and a fantastic opportunity for a Corporate Partnerships Officer to join the team.
The successful candidate will work wtih with the Senior Fundraising Manager to identify and secure new partnerships and support, generating vital income for the charity.
Previous charity experience is not essentail. However, being able to demonstrate you have won new business and that you are confident and entrepreneurial in your approach is a must.
