Job Title: Trusts and Philanthropy Fundraising Manager
Charity: Macular Society
Salary: £33,300 – £38,000
Contract: Full time
Location: Flexible – home working, Andover Office based or hybrid.

Key accountabilities of the role

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of plans to grow income from trusts and major donors by developing excellent written proposals and reports.
  • Line manage the Senior Trusts Officer/Trusts Officer.
  • Deliver exemplar stewardship to donors that inspires continued support, mostly through written communications but also includes participation in events, visits and meetings.
  • Carry out research to identify and cultivate prospective funders, discuss potential projects, submit excellent written applications and manage follow up.
  • Stay abreast of all fundraising opportunities the charity has to offer and prepare strong and compelling grant proposals for all fundable areas of the charity and informative reports, working closely with colleagues from other teams.
  • Work with the wider fundraising team to explore cross-over of opportunities between trusts, major donors and companies.
  • Ensure the database is kept up to date, particularly the trusts and major donor records, to accurately and completely record communications and enable reporting on expected income.
  • Support the rest of the fundraising team when required with specific projects/events.
  • Keep up to date with best practice in fundraising and comply with relevant legislation.
